Backtrack!
Today I learned that I need to create a more personal connection to my main character and his family, particularly his parents. So I created a pendant, kind of a family heirloom that is passed down to the first born child. This will come into play in a very important way, as I have just figured out. This of course changes many things about the story, but in a very good way. For one, I do not have to change the progress I have made thus far, just add some things here and there, two, The story becomes deeper, and will make Darek's life more relative to the readers. All in all, this helps me create a much better story!

Thats great, that will add a lot of character to the book, especially if it plays an important roll later on!
The book sounds a lot like the alliance. Except for a few subtle differences! Keep up the good work, and it's a good idea for you to develop the characters better!
